We assist with research in several ways. We meet with students and researchers one-on-one and teach courses and workshops for hundreds of students each semester. We create research guides for courses and research topics. We are library liaisons to many academic departments, supporting graduate students and faculty. We provide walk-in research assistance at Widener and Lamont libraries and online through Ask A Librarian.
We work closely with campus partners including the Writing Program, Freshman Seminars, General Education, the Bok Center for Teaching and Learning, and the FAS Academic Technology Group. We organize special tours and host showcases for events like Freshman and Junior Family Weekends and Visitas. We conduct weekly tours and offer events like our research clinics that help students feel comfortable in our spaces.
